ABOUT
researcher, playwright, poet, writer

I am a social scientist, playwright and poet based in Edinburgh. My work bridges academic research, human rights advocacy, investigations, policy, theatre, and literature. I am currently a PhD student at the Edinburgh Futures Institute, in Edinburgh's Centre For Doctoral Training in Natural Language Processing. I have previously worked as a Senior Researcher for Demos and Research Assistant for the Alan Turing Institute.
My work has been cited in the UK Parliament and has been covered by outlets such as The Guardian, The Times, and the Mirror. It has appeared in conferences such as FAccT and CHI. See my ORCID and Google Scholar pages for more details.
As a playwright, my writing has received several prizes and has been staged at theatres including the Southwark Playhouse and the ADC Theatre, Cambridge. My play Market Magic won the 2019 Cambridge Footlights' Harry Porter prize for comedy playwriting, judged by Taskmaster's Alex Horne, while my play Automaton won 2nd prize in Cambridge University's Other Prize for playwriting. I am currently a member of the Traverse Theatre's Digital Writers Group. You can find my Papatango playwright's profile here.
Meanwhile, my poetry has been published the Poetry Society, the Young Poet's Network, and in various print magazines. You can find some of my work on the Poetry page. I was the 3rd Prize Winner in the 2017 Timothy Corsellis Prize.
